ROCK TESTING

Our modern laboratories boast the latest in technology with regards to testing, including:

  • Rock sawing facilities for core preparation

  • Precision end face grinder allowing machining of both core faces simultaneously

  • Two Compression machines for rock UCS testing

  • Extensometers allowing Young’s Modulus and Poisson’s Ratio to be integrated with UCS testing

  • 100mm Direct shear units with electronic data acquisition, with maximum confining pressures of 1600 kPa
