Each of our laboratories provide extensive soil testing services and are accredited to analyse and classify various soil types comprehensively. We conduct essential tests, such as moisture content, particle size distribution, and Atterberg limits, along with assessments for dispersion, erodibility, reactivity and bearing capacity.

Our Expertise
Soil Dispersion
We undertake Emerson crumb, pinhole dispersion and percent dispersion tests to assess and class the potential for dispersion and erodibility of various soil’s types.
Soil Compaction Characteristics
In order to determine the dry density and moisture content relationship we undertake standard and modified compaction testing. We also assign optimum moisture content/maximum dry density values for field testing.
Soil Reactivity
Shrink swell testing is conducted on an undisturbed tube sample to determine the shrink swell index (Iss). We also undertake swell/collapse tests on soil for measuring one dimensional wetting-induced swell or collapse deformation of intact specimens obtained from a natural deposit or from an existing compacted fill.
Bearing Properties of Soil
CBR testing (soaked or unsoaked) can be undertaken with surcharges of up to 18kg per test specimen. CBR values can then be utilised in pavement design and assessment.
