Geotech Experience Inspires Future Engineers

We had the pleasure of hosting Year 7 and 8 students from the Central West Leadership Academy (CWLA) this month for an immersive geotechnical experience at our Dubbo laboratory. 

The students explored the fascinating world of geotechnics with hands-on testing activities, including plasticity tests and particulate profiling. They also donned VR headsets for a virtual field trip to a site near Cootamundra, where they observed geotechnical test pitting in action. 

CWLA Principal, Mandi Randell, shared how engaged the students were, with several expressing interest in pursuing geotechnical careers. Experiences like these are part of our commitment to inspiring the next generation and showcasing the exciting opportunities in our field.
