COMPACTION CONTROL TESTING
Macquarie Geotechnical is able to offer a full range of compaction and earthworks testing, in the field and the laboratory. Compaction and Earthworks testing is vital to any project as it ensures that the material used and methods undertaken are meeting the specifications for the site.
Level 1 and level 2 supervision can be provided in accordance with AS3798. We are able to offer in-situ Nuclear Density testing, Benkelman Beam deflection testing, and provide materials assessment to ensure conformity to the required specifications.
CONCRETE AND SHOTCRETE TESTING
Macquarie Geotechnical undertakes both field and laboratory testing of concrete and shotcrete. This is essential to ensure the quality and performance of the material used during construction and confirms its meets the requirements.
We have a fleet of vehicles fully equipped to work on mine sites and are able to collect samples of concrete in the field or accept samples provided by a client for testing.
SOIL TESTING
Our modern laboratories boast the latest in technology with regards to testing, including:
Automated soil compactors and modified compactors for sample pre-treatment
The largest bank of Oedometers in New South Wales.
Triaxial frames with pore pressure measurement, data acquisition to a maximum pore pressure of 2,500 kPa
100mm Direct shear units with electronic data acquisition, with maximum confining pressures of 1600 kPa
CHEMICAL TESTING
Macquarie Geotechnical is able to provide soil chemical properties testing to test for aggressiveness, acidity and other chemical properties.
We are accredited to work to RMS standards required for “R57 Design of Reinforced Soil Walls” and can undertake the chemical and physical testing required ensuring material complies with the RMS standard
